Im Rahmen unseres Projektes „YRM“ veranstalten wir gemeinsam mit dem Kafe Marat einen Vortrag mit der tunesischen Aktivistin Rayhan. Der Vortrag wird auf Englisch stattfindet und übersetzt.

Rayhan lives in Tunisia and is active for the rights of people on the move despite repression by the Tunisian regime. She will talk about direct consequences of the migration deals and border externalisation between the EU and the Tunisian state: The plight of people who are forcibly stopped at sea by the Tunisian coast guard and then detained in detention centres and often deported to the desert on the Algerian and Libyan borders. She will also speak about the criminalisation of solidary activist and workers in the migration field a considerable number of whom have been put in prison – one main reason why practical solidarity with people on the move has become extremely difficult and risky.
